NELLORE, December 22, 2014 Updated: December 22, 2014 22:30 IST Two schoolchildren died in an auto rickshaw-school bus collision at Teepanuru village in Chillakuru mandal of Nellore District on Monday. The deceased children, Doddaga Vamsi and Modiboyina Venki, were both UKG students and travelling in an auto rickshaw when the mishap took place. Ten other students also suffered injuries. Rickshaw driver Ragaiah also suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in Gudur government hospital. Chillakuru police said the children died while undergoing treatment. Ravindra Bharathi School bus was on its way to pick up the students from the same village. The police took the bus driver into custody and the investigation is on. Poor innocent children are killed for no fault of theirs due to over speed driving..Auto Drivers and bus drivers should be given behavior modification lessons. |
