At the Sweekar Upkar junction, the traffic light turned red at 4.45 pm. An RTC bus in front of Runal's scooter stopped at the signal and he also stopped just in time behind the bus. However, the driver of an RTC bus (AP 29 Z 2149) behind the youngster failed to apply brakes in time and the heavy vehicle of Jagityal depot rammed into Runal's scooter.
