TV Newsreader Badri, Son Killed in Road Mishap

ELURU: Telugu TV newscaster K Veerabhadra Rao alias Badri, 38,  and his youngest son Sai Satwik (9) died when their car crashed into a tree after a tyre burst at Gundapalli, near Dwaraka Tirumala, in West Godavari district on Sunday.
His wife Lakshmi Sujata (36), elder son Sai Sandeep (12) and relative G.Tarak suffered severe injuries and are battling for life at a private hospital in Vijayawada

Two killed in accidents

A woman was killed and six other persons sustained injuries when an autorickshaw overturned at Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday afternoon. The occupants were proceeding from Moinabad to Regadimamidipalle village in Poddur village mandal after attending a function in Hyderabad when the accident took place.
The autorickshaw was going at a high speed and it apparently overturned at Ketaramgate, Sub-Inspector Chevella, Rajasekhar said

In another accident at Saidabad, a degree student, died after being hit allegedly by a tipper lorry on Sunday afternoon. The girl Varalaxmi was going along with her brother R. Yoganand to her college on a two-wheeler when the tipper hit their vehicle at Madannapet road.
“The girl fell from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries and died on the spot,” Saidabad police said. Soon after the accident the tipper driver left his vehicle and fled.
